Funding for Tenancy Advocacy to continue
Terri-Ann Dwyer, TASC’s Queensland Social Justice Centre Coordinator recently attended the Queensland Statewide Tenancy Advice and Referral Service (QSTARS) Forum in Brisbane. This was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the state and make new contacts to enhance the service QSTARS provides to all tenants across Queensland.

To open the Forum Minister Mick de Brenni, Minister for Housing and Public Works and Minister for Sport, announced the Palaszczuk Government’s commitment to provide $37.597 million for five years from June 2018 for the QSTARS program. This is great news for all Queensland tenants and TASC welcomes this announcement.

“Renters in all regions of the state contact QSTARS for advice and support to meet their tenancy responsibilities and exercise their rights,” said Tenants Queensland CEO Ms Carr, pictured here with Terri-Ann Dwyer at the Forum.
