I have dual positions/functions within TASC. I manage the Senior Legal and Support Service (SLASS) program that operates from our Toowoomba and Ipswich offices. I am also the SLASS lawyer in Ipswich. Layered upon this I am the Human Rights Coordinator tasked with ensuring TASC programs operate within a human rights lens or framework. I commenced with TASC in May 2017.
What I did before coming to TASC
I have a strong sense of, and commitment to social justice which is reflected in my legal and health career. Prior to commencing my legal career I was a registered nurse with experience in mental health, general and occupational nursing. My legal career started in medical negligence with Maurice Blackburn in Maroochydore and later as the Human Rights Lawyer with Queensland Advocacy Incorporated in Brisbane.
What are my academic achievements
I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and have obtained my Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Masters of Law. All my academic degrees were through the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
